Longest trip in the S2000
We took a trip to North Carolina this past spring with my brother-in-law and his wife. They were in their S and my wife and I were on our Wing (this was before we bought our S). About 3500 miles RT with the longest day about 600 miles. My brother-in-law stated that it was the most comfortable car trip he has ever taken (normally he has a lot of back discomfort while driving).
This coming year we are planning to take another trip somewhere with them - this time with our S as well!!

Geez -- Why do people buy these cars if they don't find them comfortable? It's sure not advertising hype.
We took our S 2200 miles in 3 days last September, from Santa Fe to Boca Raton via Kansas and Kentucky, top down all the way except for some rain the first evening in KS. It was great, the best car trip I've ever been on.
And we're in our mid-50s. You other people should go buy a Buick or something. HPH

I went from Dallas to San Francisco and back over 2.5 weeks. I did many side-trips along the way. Total distance was about 5000 miles. I had a great time and didn't have a single difficulty. For what it's worth, I did the whole 1700 mile return trip in two 12 hour days.

why? is the car not comfortable for a long period of time?
Havent really been on a long trip yet i think the longest was about 2 hours, not that bad though, i thought it was kinda fun. Going on a longer one (about 4 hours) down to North Carolina next month, pending the weather of course!
In the spirit of steve c, I'll post a short list of s2000nubi-isms which should allow you to more fully evaluate his claim of 1300 miles in a day.
He went so far on his R1 motorcycle that his helmet almost blew off.
Engine oil warms up the pistons and rods on a cold day.
Driving within the first 5 minutes of starting your car will cause large amounts of damage.
He did four 360's in the middle of the highway after turning onto it from a stop.
Later, his girlfriend did 4 360's in the car and "that has never happened to me".
The Porsche GT2 is naturally aspirated.
He wonders if s2ki will still be run after the S2000 is out of production.
He hates cops because they ticketed him for driving like an idiot in a parking lot.
He can find a brand new 2005 S2000 for $25,000 off of a dealer's lot.
$2000 or less is a fair price for a complete supercharger kit.
He paid $13,000 for his car, with 5,000 miles on it, two years ago.
He does burnouts at 45mph.
This kid is a winner.

Two men (one is an editor of our local newspaper) drove from the Bay Area to Minneapolis/St. Paul in an S2000 this past summer. They drove 2000+ miles in 10 days and kept a running blog of their trip. The thread is here:
