7 hours with the top down. Not one bit uncomfortable, and loved every minute of it (especially when it rained for 5-10 minutes on the freeway and I stayed bone dry.)

In one sitting?

The OP is claiming 1300 miles in "one day." Wow. I've never driven from CA to TX, but simple math tells me that you would have to drive 100 mph for THIRTEEN HOURS(!)

Not to mention that if you were driving 100 mph the whole time, you'd probably have to fill up 6 times. So add another hour for that.

So the OP is either the most hardcore person I've ever heard of, to drive 1300 miles in "one day," or I should be flying the flag. Hmmm......

From Miami to Key West...lots of stops for "back streching, and fuel...". Overall, it was cool, but NOT comfortable, at least not for 5 hrs. Won't happen again.

12hrs, from maple valley washington. to woodland.ca. top up A/C on. no complaints. BTW adding foam padding to the seat back will help a sore back.

That must have been back in the days of 55mph speed limits on I-80 or something. HPH

Sounds totally doable to me - since I've done 1242 miles in less than 19 hours on a motorcycle - plus many other "1000-in-24" rides.

Ya just need an iron butt!!

The furthest I've driven in my Maxima was to Cincinatti, Ohio from North New Jersey..stopped once for gas/refreshments. I did drive well over 400 miles a day a few times in Texas though. At night, those roads are DESERTED!

Longest trip in my S is 170 miles round trip from my home in Irvine to Simi Valley and back.

Longest trip in a car was 4000 miles round trip from Rochester, MN to Santa Ana, Ca in the days of 55mph speed limits. Four of us took turn to drive the rental car in middle of a winter, only stop for gas and food. The total time each way (2000 miles) was 40 hours.
