Low speed issue with clutch
Well you aren't alone, the sticky clutch/shudder are common with cars that have had their clutches/flywheel done. You bought a 2002 model so I assume it is used. Does it have an aftermarket flywheel? It might.
Mine sticks when you come to a stop. Press the clutch and brake and the revs dip below 1000 and it shudders. It feels like the clutch is sticking to the flywheel and I think it is. It brakes loose just before it stalls.
What I do is press the clutch, blip the throttle and then press the brake when I slow down to stop. The blip brakes the sticking and the engine decelerates normally without the shuddering.
I know others who have this same thing happen after getting the clutch and flywheel done.

Hi
You did not mention how many KM were on your car and what possibly the previous owners drivers habits were. If this was a used vehicle you may be dealing with a situation called clutch shutter. If this vehicle was driven aggressively or by a rooky clutch driver the flywheel can get hot spots on it and no matter how good a driver you can't get around this situation. This is simillar to brake pulsation on an overheated brake rotor. Take it to your nearest dealer and they will tell you if this is normal or not. The only way to cure this is by machining the flywheel and taking a close look at the clutch assembly for wear. Hope I was of help. Thanks----- Westwood Honda Greg
