maint. req'd light stays on

hey guys,
i know the maintanence requird light is suppose to blink for a couple seconds when you first start the car and it did that until tonite i vtec'd 2nd gear till redline and the maint. req'd light just stayed on.......and wont go away. Is it suppose to stay on till i get serviced/oil change? its a MY03 with 7,3xx miles. Also i can not find how to reset the the light for the life of me! ive searched looked in the library and nothing. well your assistence is GREATLY appreciated. thanks

Yes, it has to be cleared. Look in your owner's manual.

thanks s2000raj, but theres just one problem i recenly purchased the car and honda didnt give me a manual....i know i have to go back and get one but really busy with school at the moment

Put your key into the Lock position (O), hold the "trip" button while turning on your car.. Hold it until the light disappears.
