This morning my father moved my car because it was blocking his in the driveway. He left it in first gear on a hill. I didn't know it was in first gear so when I started the engine, I put clutch down, put the parking brake down, let go of the clutch to let the car roll down a little bit, and BOOM (it didn't really go boom) the engine stalled. So now everytime I start my engine the maintenance light flashes. It only flashes like 5 times and stops. What should I do???

you should change your oil because thats what it means.

 

How many miles do you have on the STooK?

 

It's normal. In about ~1000-1500 miles, it will come on for good, indicating it's time for service. It's in your manual.

 

Dealer told me "maintenance required" light comes on automatically at 6k even tho you are not required to service until 7,500.
If you haven't changed the oil, it's time you see to it.
Service mgr. told me how to re-set as mine had already been serviced when light came on. |I can't really recall but something about holding down re-set button on the dash while you click your heels 3 times!!
Don't blame Dad, he did'nt do anything wrong!

 

It means do maintenance. Get your oil changed

 

I think mine only flashed towards the minor service.

 

wow...i was really worried for a minute there...well nothing to worry about...had my first service done at 3750 miles...yea i have 6000 miles so i'll just ignore it the light...
