Maintenance Required light at 22500miles?
At 22500miles, my maintenance light is now blinking? Anyone have any idea why? I thought the next scheduled was at 30k... Car seems to be running fine, everything except the map sensor gives me hesitation problem once in a while.
There is a FAQ on how to reset.. https://www.s2ki.com/faqs/showfaq.php?threadid=17415
It is also in the owners manual although there is an error in the earlier printings so the instructions don't work.

Those blinking light worries you huh?
Well you can rest easy that triggering of the maintenance required light is from within the dash itself and not connected to any other functions of the vehicle.
Keep this as a reference.
The blinking pattern for Maintenace required or rather Maintenance Reminder light
is as follows:
At every 5900 to 6100 miles -> It blinks for ten seconds when ignition is turned on.
At every 7400 to 7600 miles -> It stops blinking and comes on always until reset.
It can get annoying but it is a feature to remind you to properly maintain your car if you have been neglecting. I don't think any S2000 owners would be negligent in properly maintaining his or her cars however....
If it bothers you too much, my advice is to remove the dash(which isn't that easy) and yank out the bulb that goes for Maintenance Required and never face it again but the procedure to reset is quite easy so this shouldn't be necessary, you just have to live with it.

I recommond reset the light by yourself everytime after the service.
once my dealer forget to reset the light after service, that light just went on after 30miles of the service. glad I know how to reset it.
