Default Flashing Maintenance light?

When I start my car, the "Maint Req" light flashes 10 times, and then goes out.

Anyone know what this means??

I have ~6300 miles on the car ....

See the "FAQ" section (top menu bar) for instructions on how to reset the light if needed.

I know about the reset procedure. I'm just curious if you don't reset, will the light always flash or will it eventually go solid? And can you reset it at the flashing stage?

It will stay on when you reach approximately 7500 miles. Yes, you can reset the light when it is flashing. Since I do my maintenance intervals about every 5000 miles, I turn the maintenance light out at the earliest opportunity.
