So I figure he will go back to his car and run registration and license. However, he doesn't. All of the patrolmen now congregrate behind my car. They are all talking as I can see them through the rear window. They talk for 15 minutes!!! At this point, they have spent more than 30 minutes with me, not to mention the time they spent pacing me.

Well finally, one of the police officers goes back to his car, and I assume runs my information. 20 more minutes passes, as I am baking in the 105 degree desert heat, while all of the patrolmen are now comfortably in their Air conditioned cars.

The truckers are all passing by at 80mph, probably laughing at me,

Well after making me wait this long, all the police come to my window and they are all leaning down on the passenger side.

Wow, sounds like you're having a lot of fun.
Oh, man.. I miss that road trip I had back in 2005.
I took my .:R32 from Detroit all the way to LA and I also remember that "NO NAME" exit
Colorado was a wonderful place to drive. especially those highway thru the mountains were a blast.
I would love to join you w/ my S and my buddy's Exige S!
but can't get off work. (cuz we're damn poor )
Enjoy your trip!
I'm sure it's gonna be a nice time.
Drive safe though!

Dan

What a bunch of crap. Obviously had nothing on you speedwise or else he would have pulled you over immediately. He hoped you would forget he was pacing you and take off. I bet they just wanted a better look at the car. They could have at least admitted it... This kind of stuff is what pisses me off about COPS.

Agreed. THere was no need to make up "running people off the road" stories. And I am smart enough to know, when he pulled back on the highway, right after I passed him, that he was gunning for me.

Heck I did the drive from NY to AZ without incident, I wasn't dumb enough to get myself into trouble now....

Oh well, cops are cops.
