i still want to take a ride around the track like last time. so just let me know when.
BTW how are the tire on the s treating you.
Next time we're out is Feb 16+16, March 1+2 both at Homestead.
The tires on the S are a bit harsh (maybe I drove the trailblazer for too long heh), and the left rear sounds like it has a valve floating around inside and it's making a pinging noise at low speed. Haven't had time to do anything about it though.
While the subframe was out, I decided to remove the header and paint it with 5 coats ceramic header paint which also prepares it for header wrap. Rene then took over and began his wrapping magic:

You can also see the new motor mounts here:
Ridiculous eh? We almost hung it on the wall instead of installing it, hopefully it holds up.
Here's the oil filter area:
And here are some misc install pics:
Steering rack clearance..
Sway bar clearance:
Yeeouch!
We also removed about 25lbs from the front bumper area by removing the bumper and it's supports, and about 10lbs from the trunk area by cutting the frame out of the lid and removing the hinge assemblies. We can now remove the trunk lid!
We also refastened all of the heat shielding in the trans tunnel:
A bonus shot of our transponder installed in the cavity behind the left rear wheel:
Anyway, the subframe is on and everything is connected and torqued down except for the SC oil return line. The tap we did wasn't going to work so we had to figure something else out. Jared custom made an oil drain plug return fitting (ala Comptech but WAY more JDM) and we got it to work. We also installed the factory Vortech bypass valve in onto the intake pipe and sorted out other miscellaneous fitment issues.
Tonight, we'll plug the original fitting on the pan and fill her up with coolant and oil.
