Mingster's tinted aeroscreen
Got this today and what can I say. I noticed some difference. But I really, really noticed a difference with the windows up. I know, you shouldnt be driving a ragtop like that...
but its really nice for when the weather is a bit chilly outside and you want the top down enjoyment. I found that with the top up, you have to push the rear window out a bit to open the secret compartment. I'm getting a new window soon, and after that, I'll just make do without accessing the compartment with the top up. All I keep in there are my CDs anyways, and I'm sure I can find a different location for them. Or, a smaller case
Besides, I figure that summer is around the corner and that means lots of top down driving. Come winter, it means lots of top up driving and most likely I'll just remove the screen for the winter. NW winters are generally rainy, so not a lot of top down driving (although this has been a pretty dry winter).
The look of the screen is awesome. It really adds some character to the car.
Pictures...

Notice the slight bronze tint.

a nice shot from the rear of the car. Subtle tint is nice. Not too light, not too dark.

If you look between the roll hoops, you can see a pretty good indication of how much tint there is in the tinted aeroscreen.
Overall, I am very pleased. I didnt have the stock Honda aeroscreen, so I cant say how well this works compared to that. I can say that for 94 bucks shipped, its a great deal. The only advantage the Honda screen has is the hinged mechanism, but thats not worth double the price (to me). I guess if you had it as a forced option, then getting Rick's screen is a good way to go. But for those of us that had NO screen to start with, the Mingster Aeroscreen is the way to go.

Might be something about the angle through the glass.
hey S2K_CLS,
great pics! i really like the tinted version, though i only ordered the clear one.
to mingster:
another satisfied customer! i wasn't able to snap some photos like S2K_CLS, but i did rush home to put your aeroscreen on yesterday evening. then, rushed out again to test it, only to get stuck in a rain storm--and me with the stupid tonneau cover on! what an idiot!
kudos to mingster!

Thanks s2k00L!!!
I put the tonneau cover on just for the pictures... Forgot what a pain it is to put on, especially after being stored all winter
I do have some issue with my top squeaking when its down, but I dont think its because I don't use the cover...
I had some paint work done to the car, and they had to remove the top. Ever since then, this noise has been present, and also some rattling with the top up.
I'm getting a new window in a few weeks (1 time goodwill thing) and I plan on telling them that the story... Tell them I want my car back with those rattles gone. When the top is dismantled, there shouldnt be any reason they cant fix the rattle...
oh, while the car is in the shop, I plan on painting the bolt heads black...
complete that cool look.
