If your mom doesn't agree with the car then wait a few years. You only get one set of parents and they'll be gone before you know it. You can get as many sets of wheels as you can afford.

not really bashing you, if you're responsible and your parents rewarded you thats great.

i'm just saying that giving your kids things 'just because you can afford to' doesn't teach them the value of working hard to earn such things, and it can be a recipe for disaster if they can't handle the responsibility and/or don't respect the dangers associated with such high end toys.
yeah i understand where you're coming from. but to give you a little bit of my parents POV, i'm not the kinda kid that frequently went out gallavanting and partying etc etc. i basically just used the car to drive to school and back. occasionally to drive around town... plus they gave me a beater car--- SO they figured i'd leave the car in the garage and save it for later which is exactly what i did >.<

It would probably be good to get that Si first and get used to driving a manual plus its got plenty of power then when you feel better about your skill trade up
