This also happens to me, but is from 1-2 as well as 2-3.

Also, even after the car warms up, sometimes the problem comes back every so often while driving.

I've found that if I hold the clutch in and wait a little bit before shifting into the next gear, it will just slip in without a problem. However, if I want to do quick shifting I'll encounter the resistance you guys are talking about. Waiting to shift makes me feel like a retard but it sure does make me feel better when it slips into gear without me having to add extra pressure.

I don't know why it does this. It is more prone to it in the first 5- 10 minutes but even after that it happens occassionally. Taking it out of first had added resistance than taking it out of any other gear

Anyone else have any explaination for this. It is near 80F or 30 Celcius here and I still have this sticking feeling taking it out of 1st gear for the first 5 - 10 minutes

Honestly, at 80 degrees, I'd wonder if there's not a problem with your gearbox. I don't think it should ever be happening at such a high temp.

Double clutching should help this, I would think.

I have noticed that it takes extra force to go from 1st to 2nd when cold since new. One thing that seems to help is to pump the clutch pedal fully a couple of times before taking off.
Before I started doing this, I would just skip 2nd gear for the first couple of minutes until everything warmed up.
