hmmmm. Well I bought the car new. and I have been driving Sticks since I was 15 (aproaching 42 now). I have never had a problem like with with any of my cars. The fact that I got 14k from my factory O2's tells everyone that I don't drive the car hard. I did take it back to the dealer during the first year and complained about shifting issues. They said the car was fine. This last time at the dealer they told me it was fine again and chirped in 2nd and 3rd. Then I get in the car drive for a few minutes, and at a high rev shift it slips. I wonder if the service department missed something the first time like they did this time, and now I have to replace the clutch.

I have seen on the boards that the week point of this car is the clutch. Is this not the case?

thanks

Well after two weeks at the dealer the clutch was finally removed. The mechanic said he had never seen a clutch in as good shape as mine was. Vindicated ..... it wasn't my driving. The car now has an ACT pressure plate and comptech flywheel, along with a new friction plate and throw out bearing. The chatter is first is gone, and the clutch grabs better than when the car was new. I am thinking the pressure plate was weak (or maybe just not up to spec) and caused the problems I was having.
