Well it looks like someone rubbed my front bumper backing out of a parking lot. I have black streaks and gashes in my bumber.
I see where a new front bumber unpainted is about $230. I don't know how much it will cost to paint it, but it can't be more than $100 right?
How hard is the Grand Prix white to color match? Has anyone had their GP white worked on? Any tips anyone can pass along the way?
Should I look into an aftermarket bumper? Anyone see a cool aftermarket bumper that looks good in white?
Those darn black streaks are so hard to get out and the chunks out of my bumper (also black) show up like a sore thumb

if a you get a GOOD SHOP(one that after they paint you couldn't tell a diffrence) expect to pay anywhere from 250-400 to paint your bumper. i know it sounds a little steep but i have had bad experiences with people shops that painted body parts for my 98 lude. there are many steps to painting almost 12-14 separate steps, yet you can turn out a pretty decent paint job by just doing 5 of the steps. the shops that do the entire process charge like as i said 250-400 and the ones that skip steps charge about 100. its up to you, i mean im sure there are still shops that can turn a paint job to a point where you couldn't notice but then you would need to know a shop, otherwise you are better off just paying the premium.
also make sure they DO NOT SPOT PAINT!!!!
make sure they strip the ENTIRE bumper and repaint the entire thing!!!
when you ask, ask them how much to strip, and repaint (not fix the scratch cuz then they ussually spot paint)

I'd say just live with it until Love Bug season is over. The front of your car is going to be black anyway and you sure don't want to splat those acidic little bastards all over the new paint.

I've had spot painting done twice with great results, one condition is the paint must be in perfect condition and not to faded out by the sun. You'd have no idea what area was painted if you looked at my car.
