you can get a deeper tone. search the exhausts and you'll find dozens of deeper ones.

the s exhaust IMO sounds better when loud and F1-like (NOT bees-can, but like an F1 car) than when made deeper and more rumbly. V8s do deep/earth-shaking best, let them reign in their territory.

with similar 'sound tuning,' 8000-9000 rpms will have to be a higher pitch than 6500. higher RPM = higher frequency = higher pitch, no getting around it.

and the buttons... well... i think you'll be SOL searching for a DIY unless you do the write up.

RSX is a Honda too Honda Integra in Japan
I didn't think I needed to explain this. The reason Honda created Acura was so their "higher end" cars wouldn't have the Honda image associated with them. It's obvious that you will find a lot more luxury in an Acura than in a Honda. This isn't just coincidence. I'm not talking about build quality or reliability. So again, the S2000 is a Honda, and the RSX is an Acura.

the overall layout of the s2000 interior is much more driver focused than the rsx.... everything is within reach.... as for the audio controls, i dont use it much but i really like the fact that those buttons create the symmetrical look in the driver side...

anyway, as for sound, if you want deep, go get an STi with the boxer rumble...

the S is for F1 fans....

if you dont like the buttons just dont use them? i dont even know how to use the buttons on the actual radio lol, and i only open the radio door to change cds. and like people said here any aftermarket intake will lower the "high pitched sound".

i was a bit overwhelmed at first with the buttons, but after a week or two i learned to master them and i dont even have to look or remove my hand from the steering wheel to change songs/radio stations/mute etc...

and if your 'disappointed' with the car because the way the interior is... are you forgetting that this is a 2.0 liter 240hp 6speed roadster with leather seats and a pretty much near perfect suspension? what more do you want...?

No I'm not disappointed about it, just kind of.. surprised.

I'm probably still going to buy it, I think the super ugly blue, combined with the lip kit and veilside hood really kinda put me off.

Hey, its my guess that there is more than just 1 S for sale in a 50 mile radius, if the blue is super ugly just find another one. Better to wait and get just what you want (or closer to it) than to comprimise on something you will have to look at every single time you drive it.
