Wow I don't even know how many times I've been over 100. I had a 3000GT when I was 17. That definitely wasn't a good combination. The car wasn't all that fast but I still hit 150mph in it more times than I care to mention. In one of my stock S2000's I've hit 154mph. It took a while to get there though. In my current S, I've hit maybe 170 mph with the top and windows down! I'm not sure exactly how fast I was going because my speedometer only goes to 160, but the needle was wrapped well beyond that mark. The car hardly took any time to get to 170 tho. This is a pretty scary experience with the top and windows down.

i used to cruise down I-45 in Houston every single day at over 100Mph to go to work... ive been at 150mph+ with the black SL55 in the pic (who belongs to a buddy) blowing past camaro's and transam's that are just cruising...

you guys should hear an SL55 at WOT in 4th gear... then just wait till it shits to 5th... it turns into a DEEP loud grumbling that is extraordinary and you only get in 5th gear at WOT

Nice topic, I have yet to hit 100 mph plus in the Honda. I will here at some point soon. In my older M3 I topped it out at 140 mph for a nice stretch of I-88. My Audi S4 topped out at 145 on I-55. My sportbikes have hit 175 mph which is of course a speedo error. Nothing like a sportbike in sixth gear hitting redline!

 

what is the big deal? Most cars on the road today are capable of 110MPH. I hit over 100mph almost every day on the way to and from work. Mostly on ramps and long vacant roads. The first time I hit over 100 in the S2000 was on the test drive with the salesman in the car I think the fastest I have been in the S is about 145MPH and the fastest I have ever been was 201MPH on a motorcycle on the saltflats!

 

I hit 135 in my 1996 Integra LS going up the Dumbarton Bridge, hit about 140 in my 1998 Prelude on 680 S, and only 110 on my 2007 S2000 on 880 N.

 

Going fast in a car is nothing compared to being balls out on a motorcycle.

Lol I have an analog speedo in my car. Not a big fan of it but at least it works.
