As for the J's Racing ECU I just got a question from J's Racing asking me if the European S2000 is the same like the US S2000 in regards of the engine... That means that there is a delay with the programming fo rthe moment. As far as I know its not... is it?

Also another thing that it was pointed out from J's is that they dont recommend the Denso plugs because their sparks arc points melted! They highly recommend NGK instead!

In fact they had engine failures caused from the Denso plugs!

So which type of NGK plugs would you recommend?

I just got the reply from J'sRacing.

In the case of my project they suggest NRG No.8 which is equivelant to Denso IK24. They highly recommend the NGK and not the Denso!
In the case of 2.0lt/2.2lt which are used with high compression rate they recommend NGK No.9!

Also a friend of mine loacally D_S2000 (2.2lt with high compression) who used the Denso IK27 had an engine failure during programming, perhaps because of the wrong angle settings of the TODA camshafts and the advance given to the HKS ECU! The results was an engine failure because the Densos melted causing the TODA pistons to be completely destroyed/slotted! Now he has ordere a new block and new TODA pistons.

So since I'll have an aftermarket exhaust, NGK No. 9 plugs will work better than my stock ones? I heard I may need certain plugs depending on what aftermarket mods I have. And I plan to get more mods later down the road, but not getting a S/C

NGK No. 9 are VERY cold plugs. I would look for a second opinion, Ztopgun28. Just because it may (or may not) work for Energetic does not mean it is a good idea for you.

Energetic has been frecommended no.8 and that is with all his mods therefore no.9 is way too cold for youe setup Ztop.

For reference, NGK 6 or 7 is normal for stock cars. A friend running a ~600whp Supra at 25+psi runs NGK 8's (should probably go colder, actually). My roommate with a 1300hp 540ci big block with a 300 shot of nitrous runs NGK 10's.

I know you can't draw any conclusions from that, but it should keep things in perspective a bit.
