I drive my S as a daily driver, but being 17 years old and buying my car with my own money, with no help from parents, I treat my car royalty, including covering it every night it stay outside. Of course, If the car wasn;t my life savings, then i suppose i would eventually have to deal with any problems like door dings. For now though, I try to keep it top notch so i can enjoy it and maintain a good resale value.

Hell yea! You pay a bunch of money for insurance a month, not to mention $30k+ for it. Drive it and put that hard earned money to fun and use. There are too many people who drive this car once a week, but during the time they drive it, it's driven like my corolla. What's the point? I can understand if they just bought the car for looks, but come on...the possibilities on this S2000 are far from grocery getting.

As with any new car, you want to keep it like new as long as possible. Sooner or later, you wind up with door dings and stone chips in the front/hood and behind the wheels. I was almost sick when I got backed into and got the front bumper buggered up after only 2 months. Now, six months later, I'm not quite as paranoid about where I park, but I still take precautions. It's a car, but the most expensive vehicle I've owned, and cost me as much as my first home. But, I bought it to drive--my daily drive, and you can't stop other stupid people from from being inconsiderate. I just grit my teeth and hope for the best, and keep driving it as much as I can.

For me, once I get a door ding or any other major visible damage, I'll throw it in the gutter and go buy another. Like others have said, the S has added a lot of unnecessary stress to my life, but I love it. Its my daily driver and if I dump anymore money into it, I'll be living in it.
