My s2k got jacked...Need your help...
An update: the car's in the shop getting fixed, they had to order the PCB board and the ignition chamber but not the ingnition itself cuz the thieves left tht behind so i caught a lucky break and i dont have to get new keys and all that. THe total cost for the repair including labor their charging me is about $550 and the top i'm thinking about getting patched up but the guy is asking an extra 500 hundred for that which i think is expensive for a patch job so if anyone knows anything about tht plz let me know.
Oh and the home owners insurance would cover the damages however the deductible is more than the repair so it just doesnt make sense.

Wow man, that sucks big time. I have some bad news for you as well. This is going to be very expensive. You need a new ignition switch with new keys (they took the old one and can actually make a key from it if they know what they are doing). Therefor you will need to rekey the door locks to match the new key (unless you want to use 2 different keys). Also you will need to have the new keys programmed to your ecu. You need to find out who the best locksmith is in your area, this job requires a device that plugs into your obdII to program the keys... they will be way cheaper than the dealer.. but it is still going to be pricey. GOOD LUCK.
BTW... you need to get that car the hell out of there ASAP! Do you know anyone with a garage you could borrow or possibly rent? THEY WILL COME BACK NO DOUBT!!!!!
Atleast go pull some relays out and disconnect a few wires under the hood

i have a question though guys, the mechanic is charging me $150 for programming the new set of keys to my current ECU, i heard from people that programming the keys is not that hard and can be done on your own, any suggestions cuz i would like to save that extra money.
Hmm this sucks brother...
First of all you should report this to the police before even touching the car I hope you did that. I'm not sure how the police handles these things but when my best friend got robbed the police came and check the house for fingerprints. (I dont know how they handle car parts theft or even if they handle it at all.)
Second how come you drive around an S2k without insurance? Sounds a bit odd. I got a good quote for about $175 a month if your interested just PM me about it I can give you my agents number and name. (Allstate, hopefully Allstate is nationwide.)
Third after you contacted the police before you start on the car you should take it to a nearby Honda dealership and get a list of things that are missing from them or something if you are lost on what parts you need thats a good place to start or a nearby trusted/reputable mechanic.
Thats just my 2 cents on what you should do.. before going around for junkyard s2k parts.

I don't care what the local laws are, when you are standing over the dead body of some stupid thief kid, you won't be celebrating unless you are a sociopath.
sorry to hear about the break in. hope you get the s fixed soon.
BUT no insurance man? COMON! thats just
not smart. That reminds me of my friend with an eclipse being stupid and driving around for 2 months without registration and then getting his car impounded after gettin pulled over for a loud exhaust(fricken idiot he is). Bottom line-> get some insurance asap.

For a top, check the Florida forum, recently there was a post about a shop in Orlando doing the top replacement for something like $900 using a aftermarket top. They said the quality of the top/work was great.
