Glad you got to test drive the S, man. Something I have yet to do.
And while I understand the need to rev the car to really feel it, I truly think every dealer should have a designated test drive car, maybe that goes to the owner for invoice price after the year's end, or something. Even the S2000, and yes I know the production number is low, but.... I sure as hell wouldn't want a car that's been test driven.

But I know you all agree.

 

Unfortunately the SC does not hint of a supercharger (well.... maybe one day). SC for good ol' South Carolina. I consider it a decent deal. I looked at the Chicago and Boston deals posted on this forum, and had the Boston dealer fax proof of their price. I negotiated locally from that as such: $30360 + 313 (SC sales tax + tag transfer) + 800 (shipping in covered truck to SC) = 31,473. I offered $31.5k out the door for a 2002 Suzuka Blue that just rolled off the truck and after a few hours waiting by the phone, they called me back and accepted. I did all the negotiating via email or phone, including arriving at a price for my trade. I set foot at the dealership for the first time this afternoon to sign the paperwork and drive away. It couldn't have been an easier purchase.

 

No need to respond to trolls, they suck. They contradict themselves, they don't like the S2K, but they are members of the S2KI.com.

 

I was lucky in that respect. I put down a fair chunk on the RSX, so I had considerable equity. My payments went up $12/month and my insurance went up $11/month. I got a laugh when I told a friend that I'd have cut out one fast food trip per week to afford the S2000.

 

Yeah, I just hope one day I can be cool enough to crap on peoples car choices over the internet.

It was a Type-S with 13,668 when I traded. Carmax was offering 18, but I got 19.5 from the honda dealer. Black book on mine was about 18.6.
