Default need some conv top help

so i just purchased my s2k about a month and a half ago and the top was in good shape. now i'm starting to develop a tear near the back passenger side. i was wondering if anyone had any suggestions to help prevent the tearing, especially once it has already started (besides not putting the top up/down).

get a piece of OEM cloth, and glue it on the top on the inside in the spot where the tear is developing.

Use vinyl adhesive...Loctite works very well.

I happen to have a junk top and will gladly sell you a piece cheap.

Also, if you look at the second pic in the link, you'll need to sand the top side of that bar. Not the bar in the first pic, the one in the second. There are likely weld splatter there causing your tear. You can feel them but you'll need to let the top down a bit to get between it and the frame bar.

I use gaffer tape. Non-destructive, leaves no residue, can be reapplied anytime, application lasts a reasonable amount of time.

I am having the same problem. Does the adhesive bleed thru, to the outside?

No, although it can come out through any holes if you use too much
