If the F20C and F22C is anything like the BAR series of engines...I'm praying to god for a F26C = BAR 06

 

12,000 miles on my MY03. I check the oil after every fill up. ZERO oil usage - and I rarely use 5th or 6th gear. I'm totally impressed. I'm putting in Syntech when it goes in this weekend for service.

I VTEC Regularly, usually 1-3 times a day...

I am using Mobil 1 10w30 Synthetic... and it has burned up 3/4 of a quart. Spark plug recall hasn't been done yet, and my oil smells like gas.

I assume that the gas smell might be from the spark plug thing, but I doubt it from what others have said on this board... I'm getting the spark plug thing done tomorrow.

 

I seem to use about 1/2 - 3/4 qt. per 3000 mi. What I find interesting tho is that it takes several days for my engine oil to return to the crankcase. 30 - 45 min. after shut down (engine warm) the oil level is down 2x's... few days later oil level rises.... few days after that and oil level rises even more. Bet no one has that issue....Car runs fine, use Amsoil 10-30. Any comments? Hey Woodwork... you lurking out there???

 

i'm running 0w30 german castrol with 18800miles (30000km) on the car. 3125 miles (5000km) since my last oil change i've used ~300mL (~10oz.)

it would be great to keep this thread going to see if the oil consumption on our car averages out.
