Oh and those flaps in front of the wheels are actually not weather guards but wind deflectors or so i have heard.

Its by no means a PITA to have an OEM front lip. It drops the front around an inch, you won't really have to change your driving habits too much. Go for it.

oops... you know what i mean, but the flaps are there...
i would imagine that the spoilder would portrude forward and thats where the scraping problems would come....

I'm pretty slammed and have an OEM front lip, and it's not a problem at all if you're just cautious and look out for certain things. At stock ride height, it posed no problems.
