I wouldn't pay over $11,000 for an 03 with > 50K miles.

Part of this depends on where you're at in the country.

I got an 04 in great shape with 61K for 17K out the door (15.7K pre-taxes and such)

When we were looking (4-5 months ago now) you could get an AP1 with similar miles for 2-5k less.

In texas I bought mine last December for 16k from the dealer, 37k mileage. Berlina Black on black, my only complaint is the swirls, but I have to get off my lazy butt and fix that when I have time haha .

You just passed the quiz! Your gold star is in the mail.

I'm glad that I have educated an entire forum on a sliver of Honda lore. When you're on a Japanese gameshow and answer that question for 1 quadrillion yen, you can thank me (with some of the aforementioned yen).

Look, check out www.kbb.com (Kelly Bluebook). You can get good info on the value of the car your looking at there for the market you live in. Then do a carfax on the specific vin # and check the results. then do a test drive to see how the cars engine/running gears are. Look for any grinding in gears, clutch slippage, etc. After those, then it pretty much comes down to how bad do you want what the seller has. Rarity of color/interior and any after market mods that you deem valuable enough to up the price a little is fine. Ultimately, it is your choice.

My03 with 35000 mile on it comes in at $15,015 with premium wheels(aftermarket), hardtop, and spoiler on it, so I think your $16,000 car is a little over priced.

Good luck with your S hunt.

Thats not a good deal.

I got my 04 like 3+ years ago with 28k miles on it for 21k; at the time I got mine it was a deal because it was 2006.
