Yes the pics worked for me. That cold air intake replaces the stock airbox which you have pictured in the other link you have. Also I would look into possible front end collision. I do not see any vin stickers on those fenders and the bolts look like they are a different shade of yellow. I could be wrong but something to look into. Do you have any other pictures of the car?

 

i am sorry. i didn't take other photos of that car. for the possible accdient, i will bring that car to a trusted body shop. they will take a look for me. that dealer showed me a carfax today. it's a 1 owner, clean record.

btw, what's the black box behind the coolant bottle??? my second post's photo had a red box on that part.

The engine bay on that Rio looks nice and clean. I think the box is the cruise control. You don't see it on the Rio because it is an 06 which had DBW, so it won't have that.

 

Oh my bad didn't even notice the red box Yea that is for the cruise control. As said above the 06+ don't need it because they are DBW.

-Still under factory warranty for another 18k miles
-Oil change still good til 2/01/2010
-Has all service maintenance record
-tires recently changed 3 months ago(BF Goodrich G-force)
-no dings
-no dents
-everything stock
-never race or added aftermarket parts besides the stereo
-first owner
-can provide carfax
-clean title
-has lifetime alignment with firestone
-sticker is good until Aug 2010
-car is clean inside and out road chips here and there in the front but thats normal for 40k miles driven

I test drove the car today and every thing checks out and is in working order.
I tried to negotiate but he is firm on 20,500$

Here's of the bads I could find on this car

-middle plastic parts on the front bumper fell off while it was parked (claimed kids accident knocked it out) he has the part just needs to put it back on.

-the KBB on his ad is listed too high for a car that;s only 40k miles. (Does not add up)
-car has a lot of mileage driven only for 2yrs and 4months.
-two rims have curb marks, but are minor.
-Claims he paid the reg. sticker for 400$. (sounds kinda high)
-the car is not fully paid off. he has 2k left on payment, but will pay it off and have title on his hand before he sells it to me but i would need to put a 500$ deposit down by Monday 12/07/2009
-Also claims he bought each BF Goodrich tires for 320$ (I will call firestone tomorrow and get quote on the tires) I think he bought warranty on each tires, but price is still high.

Im still waiting on the Vin# from him i want to check carfax myself. Anyone have a carfax account and would help run the vin for me. Will paypal 5-10$

I also want to get the story straight on how the middle plastic part on the front bumper fell off. I have a feeling the bumper has been repainted and there's something hes not telling me.

What do you guys think? I want your opinion on this car.
