Asking price is in line with what we're seeing if it has a good roof, all 10 VIN tags and hasn't been buggered with rolled fenders, lowering springs, etc. Geographical area will influence price. As will what you intend to do to or with the car.

What do you guys think of this car?

Too high? Too Low? What's up with the spoiler in the rear? Is that an aftermarket part?

That spoiler might be the optional OEM one, not sure. Nice low mileage find, I don't expect they'll be dropping the price too much.

Does GPW demand a nearly 6k
premium over other colors?

Example:

27k miles NFR 08: $25k asking price
30k miles GPW 08: $31k asking price

I want a nice GPW car but I suppose I need to be looking for ones with higher mileage because people tend to spew loads over gpw/red low mileage cars and blast the price into the stratosphere. I’d pay $25k+ for it, but not 31.

$25K seems like a great price if the condition is nice, $31K for the white I think is on the high side.

I think it's unreasonable personally. But I guess value is all determined simply by what people are willing to pay and nothing more. I'd consider 25 or 26k a reasonable price for both me and the seller. Given that these cars retailed for 35k I just can't do 4k off of MSRP over 11-12 years with 30k miles. If the car was under 10k miles I could see that price being more realistic. I think 25-26 is a fair offer. If it's still available in a month I'll offer that in cash, otherwise I'll just have to be patient.

Lol you come here to question, or even bash right now, on the asking sale price of the GPW car for sale in the Cars for Sale section after you've been warned not to it in the sale thread.

GPW always commands a higher price over other colors due to its rare color and simply being more desirable than others. I know if I get into another s2000, GPW is the color I want and will have to expect to pay a few thousand more just because.

If you don't like the price of his car, just move on man. Complaining here won't make him budge his price unless he needs to move it to which he said he's not in a rush at all.

Hi, just registered and first post after being a longtime lurker. Have wanted an s2000 for quite some time and been looking pretty steadily for the last few months. A little background on what I'm after...we already have 3 cars (our 2 daily's and I also have a restored '66 Mustang) so this is a 4th car that I'd like to drive in the summer months while tinkering with the things it needs. I'm not looking for a super low mileage car that I can daily drive or a garage queen just want one to enjoy and really only want to spend maybe $10-12K on it. I live in the Portland, OR area and the Pacific Northwest in general seems harder to find cars and they tend to be pricier. I'd like an AP1, preferably an '02 or '03, as stock as possible and a clean title with silver being my first color of choice. I've linked one below that I've been thinking about going to take a look at (it's 3 hours away from me) but wanted to get other "expert" thoughts on it. Thank you in advance and hope to become an s2000 driving member soon!

This. S2kys - what don't you understand about supply and demand? A seller can ask whatever they want. The buyer ultimately determines the price. The price isn't what YOU believe it should be. It's driven by the masses. Demand is very high for these cars; yet the supply is quickly dwindling.

Give it up.

Present (or lack thereof) VIN's really impacts the price. If it has good ownership history and all VIN's are present, I'd say it's a good price. It looks like it has newish paint on the front bumper and sidemarkers have been replaced.
