The mileage is much higher than I'd typically consider. But it is being sold by the original owner, and appears to have been kept in good condition mechanically.

I currently have an '03 with 108k miles, but it's had a ton of issues. I bought it for "good" private party price last year, but I've spent over $2k on repairs since and am just no longer happy with it.
I don't think there's any guarantee that you won't have to drop some cash on this one either once you make it your daily, in fact at this mileage there's probably alot of maintenance I'd still want to do myself or to comb the history for. It's interesting that it's never had a second owner, I've really not seen that on a high mileage sale yet, but I don't know what that's really worth when it is high mileage.

I’ve been looking to grab another s2000 recently and, while talking to a dealer I know about one of his cars, I found out about a local s2000 with super low miles.

2000 Model with 22k miles
Red with Black interior
All original
Perfect condition, garage kept
One owner “Old Man”

Asking $19,500 currently, but it sounds like he may be flexible. The dealer had said that he knows so much about it because they tried to get it, but couldn’t agree on a number the guy liked. I haven’t seen it yet, but I do trust the guy who relayed the info.

I was honestly kind of set on grabbing an AP2 this time around, but this car has really piqued my interest. Seems like a chance to grab a piece of history really, assuming it’s in as good of shape as he described.

So what are your thoughts? Price doesn’t seem horrible for what it is, but I would obviously try to talk him down.

It depends where you are and typically prices tend to be lower in the colder months.

I'd say somewhere between 13000 and 16000 Canadian as long as it's not from Quebec but it can vary. Quebec is known for rust from salted roads and the cold, poor frames, and dodgy reapair practices so you should be taking measures to examine unreported and fixed accidents. You should always be trying to catch things like this regardless because if a seller isn't telling you things you gotta go with your gut. I don't know what the suspensions worth or how long it lasts but they can get expensive and having it on bags is nice to push a button and lower. you should be doing your homework on aftermarket parts and rims, rim condition because rims can get expensive. Hard to make a proper judgment without looking at pics, general condition and wear on interior.

Dubai is a bit of an outlier so it could be worth alot more or alot less. Start digging around for comparable examples and costs to import others.

Without looking at it I'd lean towards 13700 CAD $. Would be a fair offer but it's hard to say what the Dubai market is, that's my blind estimate for the Canadian market

Why else is there a huge disparity in price in Quebec vs the rest of Canada.
