Could be a pretty solid deal. Looks clean but the photos are crappy when I enlarge them. Carfax indicates it was well maintained and I suspect it was never modded. But you would want to know that. There are no photos of the interior or soft top. Hmmm... Call and ask for some, or better yet go see the car in person. Get a ppi and if this is truly clean, then it looks reasonably priced.

$17k would be a steal if that car checks out really clean. I am suspicious. Blurry photos and none of the top & interior.
Here's the photos the dealer sent. http://imgur.com/a/j4eQw
Looks like there are 3 or so tears in the top, and the bolster is a little wonky. Still worth haggling over?
Also does the top looks like it's sitting funny?

Haggle would be the right approach. I can't tell if it is sitting weird, but the soft top is trashed in my book, and would require replacement. Driver seat bolster also looks trashed. Seat could be replaced or else Clazzio seat covers. Again the maintenance records look good, so it depends on what your willing to deal with to get an AP2. A new soft top installed and Clazzio seat covers would run you maybe $1300-1400 and would look tip-top. Needs a good inspection before moving on.

Damon,
The dealer's asking price is not too far from the original MSRP...which I think was circa $34k. Good for the dealer if they can get that price...foolish for the person who would pay it.

Looking for my second S found this car in nj which is four hours from me. The car is a 2002 silver s2000 with black interior 78k miles he is willing to let it go at 10k? The car needs new rear tires, new top, windshield has a crack. So you guys thing this car is worth it? Or should I keep waiting because my budget is around 10-11k for ap1
The car is bone stock

For $10K that would be a killer deal, even with the needed repairs. Assumes everything checks out VIN #s match, everything works, drives well, interior/exterior not trashed, etc. If the top is serviceable you can wait to replace it when your budget allows or just drive it as is. Go look at the car! Probably should ask the Mods to move your question to the "Is This Car Worth It" thread.
