Darn.. I was hoping that there was no drone.
Any performance gain? 1 hp? LOL
I have the same issue as you I.e. AC and stereo, looking to lighten up the load. Thanks for the feedback.
Well 40lbs lighter is a difference I feel. Next best weight loss is seats and those are a lot more.

Is there an aftermarket exhaust that does not drone? I am about to turn 40, and I am over the $1200 mods that will give me one or two peak horsepower.
The Mugen is supposedly the quietest. I was a bit disappointed but like you I'm about to turn 40 and friends younger than me never notice it and think it just sounds great.

There's no such thing as a quiet exhaust on these cars. I hate S2K drone and only got the Mugen because it was a good deal.

Personally, I REALLY like the CR exhaust. It's that bid louder than the base S2000 exhaust, with none of the drone or loudness of an aftermarket. Problem is weight.

I was under the impression the Mugen didn't drone and that in fact, most dual exhausts don't drone. Maybe that's relative to single exhausts though.

$ to hp ratios become more important when you turn 40?

Hummm... When I had AP2 Mugen Sports Exhaust on my MY07, it didn't really drone... That's interesting...

I love the stock exaust but like some of u opted for AC/radio due to it being my dd. now i want to lower the wieght but not anything crazy like taking out panles and seats. So the mugen exaust is 40lbs lighter than stock exaust it can't be that lighter can it?? And maybe if i was just crusing on the street i would take the seat out

the stock exhaust is around 50lbs. I dont think the mugen exhaust is 10lbs. There are however many exhausts available that are in the 10-20lb range.

I got it off of Yahoo auctions Japan. It was used but at $400 plus shipping I couldn't turn it down. Came out to around $600ttl
