The Official S2000 CR Owners Thread
Hello! New CR owner here. Just picked up an '08 GPW from a nice couple up in Washington. We had a nice drive back to Denver to get acquainted, and I have to admit, this car is too nice for the likes of me... lol
I've been building/racing for a long time now in the SCCA/NASA, and NHRA. This usually prohibits the income challenged like myself from having an enjoyably nice car. But I finally got out of the Air Force, and joined the civilian ranks allowing me to squeeze in a ride that has interior and no dents
On to pictures! It's #34 in GPW(which is coincedentally my traditional 'racing numbers' since I began, so it's meant to be... lol

I'll be leaving it mostly alone. I may prep it for A-Stock, but I'd like to keep it molestation free(unlike my poor other cars) for as long as possible. However, some BBS LM's are definitely on the horizon...

For the CR owners, is the stock CR shift knob a nice improvement over the OEM aluminum/leather knob? I was thinking about gettign one, it looks similar to the aftermarket knobs everyone raves about.
downsides, it can get hot in the summer and gets very hot in direct sunlight.
it does sit a bit lower than the non-CR OEM and may shorten, very little, the geometry.
on the other hand, I really think something like a shift knob is probably a personal choice.
