test drive both, see what you like

the frs looks nice, but only in some colors, and wheels definitely affect it's looks like any car. Can look ugly with some wheels and very nice with others.

before I got the S it was between a pearl white 370z sport or a BB s2000. I went with the smaller, simpler, and more responsive of the two.

FR-S. Without question or doubt. IMO

It's new, has warranty, more space and there will be tons of parts in the future (if you have an itch to mod). I wouldn't give up an 06+ AP2 for an FR-S, but I'd get an FR-S/BRZ if starting from scratch.

Haven't driven the FRS myself but if the steering feel and feedback is better in the FRS, I would get that instead.

I test drove a FRS and did get on it pretty hard (sales guy encouraged...after he heard I owned a S2000) and it felt close to what the S2000 is like.... but with lack of power (feels like a RSX type S in a straight line) and the shifter/clutch wasn't as nice. The handling of the car I did like though.

First time with rwd? Get the FRS. The S2000 is not kind to those inexperienced with rwd, and the traction control in the FRS will help you greatly, even if 08 S2000s have stability control
Nope, currently have that E320 which is also RWD
Then I'd go for an S2000 - it's a great car and for the money, there's nothing like it. Maybe a Lotus, but is a lot less live able than an S.

Since you already have a more practical car, the S would be the right choice.

Looks like you'd be settling if you end up getting an FR-S...
I've never driven an FR-S, but an S is definitely worth waiting for.

Also thanks for the feedback, Looks like the S2K is the better buy. I drove a AP1 like 6 years ago (uncle let me open it up behind LAX) and last time I drove a AP2 was about 6 months ago. Liked having the little extra torque and VSA

coming to a s2000 forum and asking s2k or frs LOL, but imo the S2000 is a better car in every aspect except for space. sooooooo AP1/AP2>FRS/BRZ but defiantly drive both of them first before your make a choice!
