The front bumper mount that I made works pretty well because the back of the GoPro is almost touching the bumper so there is less buffeting there to produce wind noise. I do have a Audio Technica Pro 24cm on its way though... and like the other guys on the thread have shown, the results speak for themselves! Hope this helps!

Decent price on Audio Tech Pro 24cm

How do those plug into the camera? I don't see any places to do that. I'm gonna try the smart phone in the floor near the engine soon.

So there are no external microphones for the Hero 1? Damn.... might have to return this thing.

AutoX yesterday, almost lost the car at one point, yet was somehow still faster than my other runs, which were smooth.

Changed the date for the wifi backpack from "April 2012" to "Spring 2012" (sigh) That would have come in handy big time at the Dragon this weekend.

Hey, I just bought a GoPro HD Hero 2 this weekend and I went out to test it in the S2000. I am using the modifry mount that is up on the secret compartment. I found that with the top up the camera records the interior of the car really well, but the outside is really bright and somewhat washed out. I was wondering if there is any setting that will help clear up the video some? Thanks for the help.

Add a 'Bama Dave tow loop mount and wind muff and you will have a great setup.
