You can easily drill through the existing case, if a skeleton case is not available by then.

Edit: That frame case is silly. What is that for?

True... that was the case (no pun intended) with the Hero2 as well. I used it underwater as well though so that's why I liked having both cases.

and I agree... not really sure what that rubber band/bumper thingy is for...

I'm still of the belief that they will make this all right for the motorsports people out there and once in our hands, this will be an amazing product (like the other two have been)

I'm new to the go pro scene but have been thinking about it recently as I can use my phone to turnit on

I currently us my phone as my lap timer and recorder bu I can't see my times as I am driving so. Can't see if I am improving

I was going to buy the basic white edition over the black as I don't need the remote

Any other reason to pend double te price on he black when all I see it Ives is better quality lens and better resolution?

I can guarantee you that you will see improved image quality with using the frame over the regular housing. Anything you put between the subject and the sensor is going to degrade quality. That said for motorsports use on the outside of the car I must agree with you, but I don't think you'd have any problem with it mounted inside. I also wouldn't mind finding out how thick the front element is on the lens.

Just found this thread now, awesome.

I own a GP2 and a GP3, a battery BacPak and a TON of mounts. Found some 32gig MicroSD cards at Staples for $19/ and loaded up!!!

With the GP3 and the Battery BacPac, charging of the main battery in the camera will charge THROUGH the BacPac. GP2 owners are not so lucky and the batteries must be charged individually.

How does the GoPro3 handle Wifi power? The old WiFi bacs need to be on at all times for it to power on / control the GoPro (obviously). Since the GoPro3's WiFi is internal, does the WiFi have a separate power button so that it can be turned on before the GoPro3?

Correct, the Wi-Fi has it's own power button. When you turn off the camera remotely (via the app), the wi-fi stays up and a blue flashing light reminds you of this. It will drain your battery if left on. But, w/ wi-fi enabled, you can remotely power the camera back on and change all of it's setting via the app.
