One Year with the CR
^ 350Z with a VQ35HR versus a VQ35DE or VQ35DE rev-up.
The HR is a beast. The other two are a driver's race (or less) against a s2k in a drag race. S2k's have no chance against a HR at any speed, regardless of transmission option on the HR.

I was lurking around and the fastest guy got a 13.1 out of a 350z hr stock but i couldnt find anything lower than a 13.4/13.3 stock in a 370z. it makes no sense.

There was a dude who used to post here on this site with an HR 350Z. He posted videos in the "Street Encounters" section of his Z pulling 13.1 quarter miles stock.
i think the cr may actually be slower than a regular s2000 in a straight line. all that extra down-force and drag from the huge rear and front spoiler with no extra power. dont forget the fatter rear tires and more sticky all around tires.
so more down-force +more drag+ more grip with the same amount of power = less straight line speed...much better handling though

Your are not kidding about the CR being slow
took me forever to get to 100+ mph yesterday
efffing piece of sheet!
Still love it though...
big F U to the VQ engine series
I am sorry but there is no way I can see a V6
as a performance engine
high rev, boosted or other wise
if you want straight line speed go with a V8

again, im very happy with the Cr suspension.
im using the rick's 4.56 gears which made a big time improvement in acceleration and response. the negatives of it are higher rpm while freeway cruising, a gear whine around 55mph. some people report worse mpg, but i didn't experience that. if you drive fwy a lot, you might not way to do it.
as far as the 4.56..does the "gear whine" continue from
55mph and upward....or just at that speed?
Is the "whine" excessive!..I mean there's a bit of noise
in these cars anyway.
I'm not worried about "mpg" cause the AP2 does have
a taller 6th gear and I'm not freeway that much anymore
anyway.
Would be great to improve stoplight to stoplight speed
and not have to do anything "radical" like FI...I love this
Formula 1 inspired engine and don't really care to mess with
it too much.

I guess I love "effing pieces of sheet"!
