Haven't hit the Rev limiter on my wife's S but I've hit it many times on my CBR1100. Other than the bizarre feeling you get when the limiter does its thing, no harm done and nothing to reset or have checked. As others note, that's why it's there... to protect you from yourself.

You should be fine as long as you didn't downshift and have that cause you to over-rev or hit the revlimiter.
You won't hit the rev-limiter this way. It's only a fuel cut-off.

haha I did for the first time last week. I was pushing it in 1st and hitting then my passenger said something so I think it blinked liek 2-3 times and I think i hit it twice on that try. After reading so many posts I didn't even think twice about it. So many people do it. Just don'tdownshift and do it.

your car is fine.

What you have to worry about is misshifting to lower gear at high rpm.
That would kill your engine.

I agree, once you experience the excitement of unabashed vtec, normal driving becomes boring. Honda designed the rev-limiter to ensure that drivers like you, me and the rest of us won't harm the engine by pushing on the gas pedal. Keep in mind that you can over-rev your engine by shifting from 5th to 3rd at redline, and, if you do, it will likely be catastrophic. Drive safely, enjoy vtec and remember if you run at redline, make certain that you select the correct gears.
how the heck do you shift from 5th->3rd??? that has to account for about 0.00001% of mis-shifts.....

I am sorry to say this but if you don't know what fuel cutoff/rev limiters are and why cars have them, it makes me think you should not be driving a sports car.
