Paint defects under windshield tape in '00 -- Any recourse?

I used some rubbing compound followed by several applications of Zymol.
Now, you only notice that area if you're nose is polishing it or if you're standing at a certain angle. The day after my last application of Zymol, I figured I reduced the visibility of the scratches to about 30% of their original appearance and figured that was fine enough. I suppose buffing them out professionally might have reduced it even more (or eliminated it) altogether but I don't even think about that area now when I detail the car.
