Paying above KBB for S2000

I have a bridge to sell you.
But anyways, sounds like a great deal and I'd for sure pick it up
I think it depends on what you plan on doing with it.
To me it is not worth the extra money.. because a year later it would have 30k more miles, and 2 years later... 60k more since I DD my S. I wouldn't pay extra for ultra low miles if I knew I was just going to rack on a ton of miles soon after. Basically, it just accelerates your depreciation if you drive a lot, because once it has the higher mileage, its not longer anything special.
If it's just a weekend toy and will be babied, then I'd say its worth it. It would probably retain its 'low mileage rarity' value for quite a while.

i see nothing wrong with paying over KBB for a pristine example of a fine automobile.
it's kind of like buying a mint baseball card, ungraded it's worth $10, graded it's worth $100. forget it, bad example...
you know what i mean....

Hot news flash: KBB advertises AVERAGE price for year, mileage, condition, etc. Some sellers are going to get more than average price, some will get less.
My idea of mint means you can't even find a scratch in the paint without looking the entire body over from 12" away! No noticeable door dings, as well as no seat or steering wheel wear. A car in that kind of shape should fetch a premium because you won't find another in that shape for a long time, if ever.
well i bought my 03 with 65k miles and its in perfect condition. the only thing is one little scrape about 1 cm long from a rock on the highway. seats are in pristine condition. everything looks and behaves like it was brand new. kbb valued it at 17.5k and i paid 12k for it. if you look hard enough long enough you can find an immaculate ap1 for under kbb value. thats just my $.02 but you can only say something is worth what someone is willing to pay for it.
