Well I did what I could on the sanding part, saved myself $300. Currently being polished by a local guy in the business for 30 years. Pics to follow, probably wont be as nice as sideways' but at least it will be my one and only beautifying mod haha. (does wheel painting count? lol)

I feel I got screwed, I took it to a guy who was gonna be a lot cheaper but he did a halfa$$ job. There are deep scratches, I used 2000 grit paper to get some of them out, I'll put some pics up of his damage, its not that bad but definitely not up to par for me.

Can anyone suggest a good place that is fair priced that could fix this? (Edit) I called advanced plating, I'm shipping it to them to do the job right if they can cut me a deal.

Uncoated shines the best.

This was prior to ceramic coating.
I won't use the cold ceramic coating again as it magnifies
the scratches and imperfections.

Very nicely done! A flex tool works well, a die grinder is a life saver, and the Eastwood kits are cheap. A basic polishing cotton wheel (and some wax) does a really nice job for finishing the accessible sides but the interior bits are all minor handwork.

But really gang, use all that energy for cleaning up the inside of the manifold and gasket match that bad boy.

Its already within 1mm of perfectly matched. Nothing to do there, as for the inside its been cleaned up, all the casting has been removed and its smooth metal. Performance first for me. As for the polishing, had I known it was gonna be such a hassle I would have never started, but once it gets done it should all be worth it, sort of. Only bling part on my car haha. I also port matched it to my Spoon TB. Again maybe 1mm to be removed 2mm at the most on a small section.

Just spray paint that bitch. I'm thinking rubberized undercoating would be different...

Looks like a good try. Where are you located? I've got about 12 years combined with welding and polishing. Maybe I can help you out some if you're not too far. Here's a few pics of my work. You can PM me if you like. Click on the pics for the full size.
