Phew! The parts have been ordered for 10+ screens for the first and second batch. A couple of items are on backorder, but the system claims they'll be back in stock mid this month (I've heard THAT before )...in particular, the phone cord that runs from the screen to the control box and the phone jack that is part of the control box. Other than those two things, I will have what I need to start putting things together (I have one phone cord and one jack, so once everything else is here I can at least put together a single full system for photos).

Since I'm sure most are too busy to bother checking the post time of this message (yeah, who actually checks the TIME?), please note that it says about 5:00 in the morning. I have spent a LOT of time lately on the couch in my office playing with circuits, algorithms, etc. for the next project. As with all of my projects, I'm stumped for a while on one problem or another, then I have an epiphany If the pieces of hardware do what I hope they'll do, then my little brainstorming session tonight has (hopefully) provided the few remaining pieces of the puzzle to move it from a simple idea to a working design. I SO wish I could share my ideas (I'm impatient like that), but I will wait until the hardware and software has been prototyped. I've been looking over my potential client list for this one based upon emails, PMs, requests (both private and public), threads (old and new), etc. and the list seems pretty large, even compared to the interest shown for the windscreen (I may have to move from a proto board house to a full production run...well, I'm hopeful about it anyway). Are you salivating yet? I hope so! If the interest is great enough on the next project, I will discuss becoming an s2ki sponsor with Eric and possibly design projects such as this full time (this is what I'm truly hoping to do, not just for S2000s, but vehicles in general). But I digress again...

So what was the final decision of what colors to do? White while driving and red for braking? Or was green in there too? Either way, I want one for sure!

LOL, Ben, you must have been away a LOOOONG time

The decision was you can have any color you want...and if you don't like it, you can pull out the provided screwdriver, twist a few knobs, and change the color to something else. If you hit the brake it turns bright red...you can disable this feature by not connecting the wire to the brakes. All through the magic of electronics

Mac, I have posted a few times to this thread to express my interest and have sent some private messages. Does that qualify me for the $150 price and where on this ever-growing list does it place me?

Anyone before and including Ravenwerk are guaranteed the $150 price. Ganthet, you're listed as #34 on my list.

That's sweet. I'll probably make mine to stay on as red all the time while my lights are on. But the ability to change the colors is also very cool. I'm definetely in!

That's what is so great about this mod...if you don't like the color, you are free to change it later without opening up the windscreen and without paying someone to do it for you. You won't wake up one morning with buyer's regret that you didn't choose the blue option instead of the red...every color imaginable is there for your choosing. If the light is too bright, turn down all three colors for a more muted, gentle glow. Not to mention it will help prevent broken full-height windscreens by preventing soft top dropping while the screen is in the down position.

Thanks MacGyver!
I was gonna ask but it's looking like your free time is starting to circle the drain over this project (sounds like you've got a lot on your plate already). Didn't want to add to regrets birthed from a good will gesture on your part. I will be interested in your offer but not in a hurry. Take your time to make it right - you'll get no pressure from me about taking to long. It's certainly a slick mod and well worth the wait.

OK, before I get any more emails/PMs, I have created a quick list of where everyone sits in the queue. This list is certainly not all inclusive of all interested parties, nor does it specify if the people listed are truly interested in the mod, ONLY the order in which they expressed interest (and therefore will be served):

1) Bass (the impetus behind me getting off my ass and doing it)
2) Stratocaster
3) w1ingman
4) kodokan_4
5) tenblade2001
