I agree. This "fix" isn't a permanent fix, only the replacement part (hopefully) is.

This procedure kind of worked for me (the window with the top still didn't work) and after a few weeks, it fixed itself. I still plan on getting the updated part and having it fixed though.

*edit*
Today the window wouldn't go down with the top or with the button.

IT WORKED!! THANKS!!

Just an added note: after the window resets...it won't work for a few seconds. Just wait and try again. I also played with the passenger side window for a while..then the drivers worked.

Thanks again for sharing.

This little trick worked for me, both auto window switch and when I lower the top. So great! Sorry for you folks that had it happen again.

YES- I had a dealer in San Antonio tell me to make sure not to have the tires rotated corner to corner but only same side front to back! Best thing to do (he said) is bring it here for rotation.

At least they showed some intelligence in that they are directional tires, just forgot the fact that they are different widths and the rims won't go on the wrong end of the car.

Damn...I've had this auto-roll-down problem for quite some time but this fix didn't work on mine. I better take it into the dealer while the warranty is still in effect.

Are you sure about that? I thought that I remembered reading that you are not supposed to use the spare as a rear tire, and that if you must change a rear in an emergency, you need to put the spare on the front and use the front tire in the rear.
