buy 3 autoloc's from emc2. this will fix your problem. you have to splice a few wires, but its no big deal.

I contacted emc2 and purchased two Autoloc modules ($25 incl. shipping) installed one for each passenger and driver side windows about 6-8 months ago and haven't had a problem since. Love the one touch auto up that you get as well. Definitely a top 10 mod.

Hey it works for me now! I tried it the other day--here are some tips that I believe will help....

1) when you roll the window down first, make sure you wait a second after you roll the window down and holding the button down. same thing for when you roll it up.

2) when you hold the button down, count to 4 or 5 or how ever long it takes for the door to make the noise. Once you hear the noise, then I guarantee you are set. When I did it and counted to 3, it definately was not long enough of a count.

Yet another..."it worked for me too" posting. The autodown didn't work on my recently acquired '01...the window moves quick enough (and is small enough) that it wasn't a significant issue to me...the deal was very good (in my favor) so I decided to live with this glitch...the only one I've found with the car. Now it's fixed! (even if only temporarily)

THANK YOU!!!

I just got back from my dealer (Brandon Honda in Florida). During my 75,000 mile inspection I asked them to check this window issue that I've had for a month or so...$500+ regulator is what they said I needed. I told 'em to stick it. So I come home and find this thread...do the "fix" in the first post and the window now works. I swear, and dealers wonder why they have a bad reputation. My dealer also did an alignment today which I did not ask for...added some other crap to the bill as well. I'll be making a trip back sometime next week to raise some hell and get my alignment money back. Special thanks to jvrabel for tipping me off that this window problem was a known issue and not just isolated to me.

had the 2nd 'upgraded' unit put in last week. things are now working fine again, and HondaCare covered the part, installation, and a rental car for my trouble. (since it was getting installed for a 2nd time)

THANK YOU XaznX!

I was just looking through the DIY sticky and I saw a link for this. I was ready to take apart my door panels and replace the window motor in the following weeks. I skimmed this thread and I do stop the top halfway on occassions so the top would go all the way down. This problem started occurring 2 weeks ago and now it's fixed...for now.

My '02 had this problem.

The reset had been posted here before. I followed it (same one as above) and it worked...For a while.

Within a few weeks the problem came back.

The reset would keep working but it was hit or miss. Sometimes it would work for weeks, sometimes a day.

NICE!! This has been a stupid little annoying problem 3 mos into ownership. I think u r right as far as letting the top halfway down to put in the "tube" then completing. I will try the reset trick. Thanks
