well I guess that if it didn't work for you, yours must really be broken, or you just didn't do it right. I'm glad to hear that this fix helps everyone else out though.

I'm a little confused... What exactly is the problem that is being fixed with this thread? Is it with the auto roll-down of the driver's side window? Or the auto roll-down of the soft top? Or... I don't know, I'm really confused here.

This problem occurs on my 2002 intermittently. About once or twice a day. Will this fix it? Or is the fix only for those windows where the autodown is completely inop?

Looks like it doesnt really work for me afterall. The reset DOES work every time I do it. Once I shut the car off... next time I start it up, the auto down doesnt work again...

Oh Well....

What are you refering to? Is is possible to make the passenger window auto-down? If it exist i doubt the dealership would have someting like this.

My points exactly Wickerbill.

Someone could have just stumbled across this or got it from a supplier or from prior knowledge. Honda doesn't manufacture the regulator and parts supplier does. If Honda gave them the specs and they produced it, they could have added this reset feature into and never told Honda. This same regulator could be used on other brands of cars.

Another scenario is that Honda wanted to make sure that it got fixed the first time. Sometimes just resetting something only cures it for a little bit and then it comes back. Replacing can minimize the chance of reoccurrence.

Honda may update the TSB or they may not. The dealer would not do this procedure and claim to Honda they replaced the regulator. If caught, they are really up the creek. Honda could sue them for damages, revoke their dealership license, restrict popular models from them or go over all of their service records with a fine tooth comb. They could do all some or none of those. The dealer would hate any of those options.
