Hi, after the rain yesterday, and still this morning, i noticed that after i hit vtec, my power would suddenly drop. Is this due to a dirty/still wet filter, etc? I have an AEM V2 intake and I haven't cleaned it in a while. I know it's pretty dirty, just don't know if it's the main cause of the vtec drop off. I could hit vtec no problem before yesterday btw. Thanx

 

Do you park it outside? On any incline or decline? There could be some water or moisture still in/on your filter...you might want to check it out before you do any more WOT pulls. Also is the car running alright? No rough idle etc?

 

no, i didn't park it outside...but it was raining a lot yesterday, so, yes, the filter may still be moist. And yes, the car is idling just fine...just power loss when i hit vtec. THanx

 

I assume the car was cold?
