Preventing thieves from getting into car...
You should easily be able to climb out if stuck inside - all you do is take the key out and use the remote to open the doors...
And who rides around with their driver's door locked anyway?

thats what we got insurance for, if a thieve sees the seat locks he's gonna slash the seats cause he's pissed off, so ur gonna need new seats anyways. so why not just let him take what ever he wants so no extra damage is done.
The scenario you describe has never happened even once, as far as I can determine.
The other issue is that you can drive around on slashed seats. For some victims of seat theft, it's taken a couple of months to get the replacements. Without seats, you aren't driving.
There are also victims of seat theft that have been hit three, and even four times!
Read the posts about stolen seats in the Florida Forums. More S2000 seats are stolen in Florida than any other state.

i personally would not do this. for one you will not pass inspection at the track. this is just as bad as having shaved handles. also, if you were in an accident they will not be able to open the door.
why not just change the bolt to some random headed one? or make something that makes it very hard to take off the bolts by putting a piece of metal there that is affixed more under the seat? or add a brace and bolts that go horizontally so there are more to remove?

If your cheap, take a MIG welder and tack weld the two rear bolts to the rail. It will literally take all of 1 minute. You need a dremel if the owner needs the seats out though. But nobody will get to your sh!t...
But the more refined approach is definitely Kodokan's bolts. I have them.

Screw people who fkn slash soft tops
I think they should put my idea into action.
Idea :
Have a system with a sensor so that it will confirm if an arm/hand/body/head is reaching in after slashing the top. Second, a guillotine type device (horizontal instead of vertical) will be used to slice of that person's body part.

seat locks are the best f**ing things out there. my car just had its top cut open, and because of the seat locks all they could get was the shift knob and floor mats.
one thing i can recommend in this situation is proximity sensor and alarm. freakin awesome. you can't even get up to my driver's or passenger's door without a pre-warn or full blown alarm trigger going off. best investments ever!!!! aside from a hardtop i suppose.

for creativity.
If you don't like afwfjustin's idea, then just buy pete's seat locks and stop worrying about someone stealing your seats.
