Did the modifry straps. Silly easy!

Soon I will do the patches. Should I just do a circle where most people do, or should I extend it to cover a larger portion? I've got plenty of material.

 

I had burrs where the blue arrows are in the pic. Filed them down with a small file and then finished with 3 stages of steel wool. Its very smooth now but still worried about wear.

Chuck, Where did you get those patches?

 

I have no burrs in that area in my 02. Just out of curiosity - are there ap1 owners that have burrs on the top frame? Referencing the pic above - where are the ap1 owners burrs?

I am wondering if this burr issue is confined to particular model years. We should always post the model year of our s2k in this thread to see if there is any trend or pattern.

 

Went ahead and applied the patch/wear panel last night. I'll let it cure for 72 hours. Hopefully this will prove to be a durable repair.

 

Also sanded the part in 2Kaputnik's photo where the yellow arrow is pointing to.

I'll see how this all goes. I just did the circle patch, I may decide to extend the patch to cover all of it.
