I live in the middle of a small town, it is only 5 miles from one end to the other, and it is in a small mountain valley. The only road that leaves this town, that is not a twisty, mountain road is the interstate freeway, and even it has a lower speed limit because of curves. The mountain roads have many 15 ,20 or 30 mph curves.

Well yesterday was a beautiful day, sunny, 65 degrees, perfect top down day. I drove up town, to drop off some mail, and before I knew it I was 10 miles up a very lightly traveled mountain road. I was doing double or nothing in the curves (a corner posted 20, but taking it at 40), and hitting 80+ in the straight aways. I did not see one car the whole time. It was great!

Well the trip that should of been a 2 1/2 mile trip turned into a 35 mile trip. When I walked into the house, with my hair a mess, and a big smile on my face, my wife just looked at me and said, "did you have a nice drive?". She knew where I had been. I just can't help it, this car makes me do it. It is a 'real problem'.

lol! It happens to me all the time, but I am required to bring my girlfriend on every trip. She has no interest in cars, but loves the stook!

Reminds me of that Lexus commercial where the guy is smearing lipstick on his collar and spraying perfume on himself so that he can make his wife think that he

LOL! I live within 3 miles of just about every place I need to get to......but it never ends up as a 5 mile trip....more like 20 miles!!

My fiancee gets really mad when I say I'll be back in 20 min and then I return an hour later......."Sorry honey, I get stuck in traffic!".....LOL

On my last car (a boring American sedan) I accrued 50K miles in ten years. On the stook it's been a steady 1K a month since I got the car.
