Default Problem with my soft top!

I don't use my soft top much, I usually have my hardtop on even in the summer cause it gets too hot for a vert sometimes . Anyway, the other day I went out for a cruise, and when I put my top down I noticed that it took a little longer when it was retracting. Everything looked okay though, so I drove off. The next day I see that the clip or catcher (the thing that hooks the top into place) is missing a piece, and still hooks into place but not like it used to. And there's a very small hole in the soft top.

I'm not going to get a new soft top, I think I'm just going to buy a repair kit for it. I know it won't look perfect, but as long as it doesn't leak I won't complain.

My question is...if I need a new catcher, is it difficult to install it? I'm pretty sure mine can't be repaired...and this is gonna annoy me

Matt

If you mean the latch that closes the top that is VERY easy to install. I had a small hole put in my top by the latch once to. I took it to a shop the dealer recommended me, only cost me 45$. and a year later it still looks good, to balance it out he reinforced the other side to that was showing some wear. I would go that route IMO.

If you are looking for a new latch, I picked one up at the dealer instead. You can also order a latch here.

Its number 60 or 61 depends on what side you need. Unfortunately I cant remember what I paid for mine, it was close to that though.
