LOL! Ain't THAT the truth! I don't know how it can cost 100K to 200K to "add on" here when you can buy a whole friggin house elsewhere in the country for 4 to 8-fold less.

Unfortunately it's the shipping that kills the deal...

If it's the first or second house, get the house.

There are cars you can buy for 10% the cost of the S2k with 50% of the fun factor.

Buy the house, it will always go up in value. At 25K buy 2! Over here in the DC metropoliton area, 25K will buy you a years rent! Average price for a house here...$400+. My uncle lives in TX and he bought 2 for 30K each! One to live in and rents the other out.
