i know my 2001 integra had a button that sounds like what you are talking about. it would clear CELs from what i remember.
The S2000 has no such button. CELs are cleared another way.

I have an '01 AP 1 also, with no such button. But I have a theory as to what it could be. For '01, only two options were offered (other than the hard top). One option was a multi disk CD changer (I passed, as I hate working those things) and a passenger side "air bag defeat" switch for those wishing to carry infants and small children (on which I passed -- no small kids, thank God). It is my theory that your car IS equipped with the "air bag defeat" option, and this button is part of it.

Thanks,
Richard

It is installed with the Honda alarm system. If you don't use the key or remote to open the door and the alarm goes off, you put the key in the ignition and push this button to disable the alarm.
Yep. I had to use it a few times when my alarm remote was acting stupid.

At least in Canada, the Honda OEM airbag defeat incorporates a key and is clearly labelled. This can only be installed with the proper authorization and the kit comes with all sorts of warning labels. Any such airbag defeat is not going to be a subtle thing. A button of the sort described is likely a momentary ON or OFF. An airbag defeat much be switchable ON and OFF. Like I said, the typical ones use a key.

I agree with the alarm switch theory.
