question about rev matching

I rarely have to go all the way down to 1st for a turn, obviously depending on the situation. Usually 2nd is fine, even from 10 mph or so.
A suggestion that you may want to try:
In 4th getting ready for turn.
Clutch depressed
Shifter into 3rd (clutch still depressed)
Shifter into 2nd (clutch still depressed)
Shifter into 1st (don't force it but put constant pressure against the synchro, give it time to work)
Rev Match
Clutch out
Anyone have any opinions on if this will work? and if it will hurt the car? I'm still in the learning process as well.

rev match doesnt always mean revving up the throttle.I rev match upshifts:
1) in 1st gear, going into 2nd.
2) clutch in
3) stick to neutral
4) clutch out, - my throttle pedal is kept at the speed the engine should be at for the next gear, it depends how fast im shifting but sometimes it pulls the RPM DOWN, sometimes it increases the RPM.
5) clutch in
6) stick into 2nd gear
7) rev slightly
8) clutch out.
My d/c rev match upshifts are because I don't shift at the same speed all the time. Roads here are terrible so I time my clutch/throttle inputs around potholes on the ground. have you ever tried to clutch out when the roads bumpy? Not a good idea. Because I DC rev match, I can pick and choose when, where, what RPM, and not have to memorize timing of the shift.
If you dont dc revmatch, you will have to memorize a certain shift timing per RPM, per gear to get a proper shift. (rate of decrease of RPM of input shaft isnt the same at high RPMs as low rpm)

But given an ideal situation driving in a straight line in a normal fashion, it is not required to rev match UP when you upshift (ie. you dont need to blip the throttle) UNLESS you are a lazy shifter.

If I'm in 4th at 40 mph and can take the turn at 10-15 mph, I'll...
1) clutch out
2) brake
3) make the turn
4) while im making the turn I...
5) clutch in
6) rev match (b/c at this point my revs are at idle)
7) clutch out and go
And I know good practice is to downshift all the way to the turn, so your car is always in gear just in case, but I'm lazy like that
